Seeking Digital Marketing Lead

If you want to be part of a team that impacts millions of lives than look no further!  The Whole Journey is seeking a new Digital Marketing Director to join our growing organization.  This is a new position for a creative, metric driven, passionate and high-energy person with an entrepreneurial soul.

The Whole Journey is a clinical and holistic nutrition company that delivers content to over 100,000 email subscribers and millions of TV viewers monthly.  We provide online programs to help people live their best life - Body, Mind and Spirit. We also write books, host local, national, and online TV shows focused on healing from the root cause using food as medicine.  We are all deeply committed to affecting positive change in as many lives as possible which includes positively impacting the food supply and future generations.

As our Digital Marketing Director you will become a key member of our leadership team and report to our CEO.  You will be assisted by a marketing technician and have access to our creative designer to help bring your campaign ideas to life.  The mission to triple our growth in under 2 years excites you.  You will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing B2C marketing campaigns that promote our company and products and/or services. You will play a major role in enhancing our customer journey and build an even stronger consumer brand awareness.  Your proven track record in creatively and effectively driving website traffic with low bounce rates and acquiring customers will help drive our bottom line growth while getting people the information and help they need efficiently and effectively.


You love serving as a company spokesperson interacting effortlessly with strategic, affiliate, and referral partners, industry press and high-visibility sponsors.  One of the many things that makes you an A player on any team are the insights you share from leveraging your strong grasp of marketing tools, metrics and data analysis.


The position requires consistent communication with high-level external partners, agencies, and internal team members. We are looking for someone whose communication style reflects the sophisticated-yet-personable character of the company. Your own communication style is warm and energetic, yet professional and confident.  People love working with you because you're smart, fun, efficient, and big-hearted.


You are excited to work from home, (or your favorite café), and live in the greater San Diego area so you can participate in weekly in-person meetings.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Manage and optimize our existing email platform or create a solid business case to switch
  • Segment and grow our social media presence considerably, keeping us on the innovative edge of the digital marketplace
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns from Opt-Ins to Sales, and assess against goals at each touchpoint (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Lead on all new projects, launches, and endeavors for the business to support exponential growth goals
  • Brainstorm and submit business plans for new and creative growth strategies, including new physical product lines
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
